Weather permitting, Tyendinaga Township hosts an outdoor adult pond hockey tournament at the Recreation Complex. Registration is $50 a team. You must have one girl on the ice at all times, no goaltenders, and helmets mandatory. Number of guaranteed games varies depending on number of teams registered.
Date: Due to COVID-19 this event is unlikely to take place in person in 2021. Virtual event to take place the month leading up to February 15th, 2021

Event includes a Winter Art Competition, Baking Competition, Snow Fort/Castle Competition, Snowman Competitions including Most Unique Snowman, Snow Family, Best Dressed Snowman, and Largest Snowman!
Residents are encouraged to participate in our annual community clean up in conjunction with the City of Quinte West, the City of Belleville and Prince Edward County. Help us clean up our ditches, parks, and community areas.
Clean up kits are available at the Municipal Office at 859 Melrose Road. Pick up garbage in your area and dump it for free at the Municipal Office.
Quinte Waste Solutions will also be on site collecting household hazardous waste. Items like batteries, old paint, and light bulbs are accepted. Empty jerry/Gas cans are no longer accepted in our hazardous waste program.
We will also be collecting old electronics through the Ontario Electronic Stewardship. Items accepted include TV’s, DVD Players, VCR’s, keyboards, mice, computers, laptops, and cell phones. Items not accepted are microwaves and vacuum cleaners.
Motor oil and electronic waste can be taken to the Household Hazardous & Electronic Waste Depot at 75 Wallbridge Crescent, Belleville during seasonal business hours.

Vehicles of all sizes, free BBQ (while supplies last), Sparkie the Fire dog, and Fire Open House. Donations of non-perishable food items are greatly appreciated for our local food bank.

The Pumpkin People contest theme will be announced prior to October! This contest is open to all ages, individuals, families, clubs, groups, and businesses. Take some time with your family, friends, or co-workers to decorate a Pumpkin Person.
To enter, send a photo of your Pumpkin People display along with your address to Annie at firstname.lastname@example.org. Pictures will be added to the Tyendinaga Township Facebook page and a prize goes to the display with the most likes!
Join us for a free, safe, and unique way to “trick-or-treat” by going “trunk-to-trunk” in a fun and family friendly atmosphere. We ask that all participants have a car/table set up to hand out candy to the kids to participate in the event.

Take a drive through the Township and support local producers this holiday season by visiting one or all of the participating locations for great locally produced and made goods!
