General Information

Parks, recreation and cultural services are essential components of a vibrant and engaged community.  They significantly contribute to quality of life by enhancing relationships, promoting a sense of belonging, providing opportunities to participate in enjoyable activities, promoting fitness and health, developing the local economy, and protecting the environment for both present and future generations.

The Recreation Department is committed to improving the quality of life and well-being of the Township of Tyendinaga population through forms of recreation and cultural services. We strive to provide optimum access to a wide variety of recreational pursuits to meet the needs of all residents. The Township of Tyendinaga, in partnership with dynamic volunteer groups and organizations, work together to provide parks, recreation and leisure time facilities, programs and services that strengthen, support and maintain a healthy family of communities.
